Let’s be honest – The Last Supper, Leonardo’s second most famous painting, looks like shit. And it’s all his fault. He experimented with a new painting technique and it was a disaster – as were the many attempts at restoring it over the centuries. But despite that, nobody in the last 500 years has managed to paint a more iconic version of one of the most famous (probably mythical) events in Western literature.
